Upkar Arora

Upkar Arora, CA, Managing Director      
Mr. Arora has over 25 years of experience in finance, M&A and operations working as a senior executive, in an  advisor  capacity  or  as  a  principal. He  has worked  extensively with  public  and  private  companies  on capital markets transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, turnarounds and financings.

Mr. Arora co-founded Illumina Partners in 2002. Prior to Illumina, he was Executive Vice President and a shareholder of Reliance Aerotech, an aviation company with operations in the U.S. During this time, he was also President of Arorus Consulting, which provided strategic, operational and financial management expertise across a number of industries, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, financing and restructuring situations. From 2000 to 2001, he was the CFO of Electrofuel Inc., facilitating the Initial Public Offering to help the company fund its move toward commercialization of its breakthrough technology. From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Arora helped to establish a $400 million private equity fund sponsored by Onex Corporation. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Arora was employed by TrizecHahn Corporation, a global real estate company based in the U.K., as Executive Vice-President and CFO of its European operations, a division he helped to establish. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Arora was Executive Vice President and CFO of TrizecHahn's retail operations, which were sold in 1998 for $3.5 billion. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance at TrizecHahn Corporation in Toronto, focusing on finance activities, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. From 1988 to 1995, Mr. Arora was part of a small team responsible for various finance, business development, operational and treasury functions for entities controlled by Paul Reichmann, including Reichmann International and Olympia and York Developments.

He received his C.A. and C.M.A. designations in 1986. Mr. Arora obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Waterloo, Ontario.

 
 
Cameron Johnson

Cameron Johnson, CA, CFA, CBV, Partner, Johnson Advisory Services      
Mr. Johnson is a Partner of Johnson Advisory Services Inc. ("JASI"), a firm that specializes in the provision of corporate advisory services with a focus on debt and equity financings, business restructuring & improvement services and business valuations. 

Mr. Johnson is also the President & CEO of Skeleton Lake Investment Corporation ("SLIC"), a company he founded in 2002. SLIC is a Saskatchewan based investment management company specializing in the real estate sector with investments in new home construction, residential property development and a golf course. Prior to founding both JASI and SLIC, Mr. Johnson held positions as a Partner of Crown Capital Partners ("CCP"), a Regina based private equity firm, as an Associate with Cole & Partners, a Toronto base corporate finance firm, and as a Manager in the Toronto office Assurance practice of KPMG LLP. 

Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Guelph and holds the Chartered Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator and Chartered Financial Analyst designations. Mr. Johnson has served on the boards of numerous private companies.
